A fresh approach to garden design and build.

Lemon Tree Landscapes is run by Kirk Simpson — a fine art graduate who turned his creative training to making gardens. After winning the RHS Young Designer of the Year title and a Chelsea Gold medal in London, Kirk relocated his award-winning practice to Bristol in 2014.

Today, Kirk and his team Joe deliver a complete bespoke service: hand-drafted Initial Concept Plans, considered material choices, and full installation by craftsmen who treat your home like their own.

We visit your garden, listen to how you want to use it, talk budget, and answer questions — no pressure, no charge. You decide whether we're a fit.

Hand-Drafted Concept Plan

Kirk produces an Initial Concept Plan — drawn by hand, digitally annotated, fully considered. The fee is 50% refundable if you proceed to build.

Build & Installation

The same team builds what was designed. Daily protection of your home, prompt arrivals, transparent updates, and exceptional craft from hard landscaping to the last plant.

04

Handover & Aftercare

We walk you through the finished garden, answer questions on planting and maintenance, and stay reachable long after the final invoice. Many clients come back for a second project.

Yes. The first consultation and quote are free of charge. There's a fee for the hand-drafted Initial Concept Plan, but 50% of that is refundable when you proceed to the build phase.

From front-garden courtyards through to substantial design-and-build commissions. We do bespoke domestic and selected commercial work — if it needs design and craft, it's likely a fit.

We're based in BS5 and cover Bristol and the surrounding areas, including parts of Gloucestershire (we've worked as far as Coaley). If you're nearby and unsure, please ask.

Yes — fully insured with public liability cover, and VAT registered (VAT No. 284 4960 66). Properly accountable, properly priced.

It depends on scope, but as one client put it: "The job was completed 4 weeks after Kirk first came to quote." Concept plans typically take a couple of weeks; build timelines are agreed with you up front.
